On Monday April 7th an OpenSSL security update was released for the "Heartbleed" vulnerability. Since OpenSSL is really common, this vulnerability affected most of the traffic on the web, even on major sites.
Here at Xplenty we’ve immediately installed the security update to protect ourselves from this vulnerability and have reissued our SSL certificate. We have also followed instructions by service providers that have been affected by this vulnerability to make sure everything is secure.
As part of our preparation, we conducted a security review of our app and don’t believe that any of the Xplenty accounts have been compromised. Nonetheless, just to be on the safe side, we highly recommend changing your Xplenty password. Here’s how to do it:
Sign in to your Xplenty account
Click your profile icon on the top right of the screen and then Edit info
Click Change password on the left
Enter your current password, type in a new password with its confirmation, and click save changes
